FAQ

If you’re planning to work on your pronunciation with us, take a look at the CLASSES section. There you’ll find everything you need to know about the different class types, requirements, payment options, and more. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find a contact form — just fill it out and send it to us, and we can plan your first class together.

All classes take place exclusively online via platforms such as Zoom (most commonly and our preferred option) or MS Teams; for students on italki, the italki Classroom is also available. Once we have clarified all formalities via email, you will receive a permanent link to access the virtual classroom for your first and all future classes.
We expect you to be punctual and well-prepared, with a stable internet connection, a working microphone and a webcam. Depending on the type of class, you will receive all necessary materials from us in advance so you can — if you’d like — print them out and have them ready during the lesson.

A class lasts 60 minutes. The number and frequency of payments are entirely up to you — you can pay in advance for as few or as many classes as you like. Please keep in mind that the number of reserved classes is based on the number of prepaid classes. You can pay via PayPal, bank transfer, or with a payment card. Detailed information on booking, cancelling, or rescheduling classes can be found in our Terms & Conditions.

Yes, if you would like. Depending on the type of classes and your progress, you will receive suitable practice tasks to work on at home. By regularly reviewing and applying what you’ve learned, you reinforce your progress and improve your spontaneous pronunciation more quickly.

German pronunciation in Austria and Switzerland often differs significantly from the Standard German used in Germany, which is what we specialize in. So if you are specifically aiming for an Austrian or Swiss accent, we unfortunately cannot support you with that. However, if your goal is standard German, then you are absolutely in the right place with us.

For learners in Russia and other countries where European payment systems currently do not work, we offer a convenient alternative: booking our classes via italki. You can find the links to our italki profiles in the GENERAL section.

Yes. We now issue official certificates to learners who would like to include such a document in their portfolio — for example, when applying for a job. The certificate reflects the total number of classes completed with us at the time of issuance. Each certificate receives a unique ID number and can be updated at any time if you continue taking classes and the number of completed hours increases. You can view a sample certificate here.

Since success depends on many individual factors, we naturally cannot give you a 100% guarantee — especially because the project name “DEUTSCH OHNE AKZENT” is symbolic rather than literal. However, one thing is certain: (1) the younger you are, (2) the better your musical ear is, and (3) the fewer existing habits you bring with you in German, the more likely you are to achieve a noticeably more native-like pronunciation.

  • Recently, my workspace was enhanced with an important addition—a soundproof booth. My current students are already familiar with it, as I now conduct most of my lessons there.
