The analysis as an online lesson is conducted within the lesson itself, while the analysis on this page is offered independently and occurs offline. At the end, you will receive an assessment in the form of a file (which may include additional materials, depending on the package you choose). I offer this classic pronunciation analysis primarily for those who, for various reasons, cannot or do not wish to have an online lesson. If it does not matter to you how I analyze your pronunciation, I recommend taking the lesson, as it takes less time for both parties.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to receive both forms of assessment. Please select one specific form based on your preference. If you would like to read information about your pronunciation, select a text file; if you prefer to hear information about your pronunciation, select an audio file.

No, English is not my native language, and I have never specifically worked on perfecting its pronunciation. I offer it as a reference language only for those who may not understand German very well. However, if you understand this language to some degree, I recommend ordering your assessment in German, as that is your target language, and you will hear the correct pronunciation immediately. Rest assured that I will always adjust my speaking speed to your level of German (which is a required field in the contact form below).

I kindly ask you to record the text that I have provided, as it has been specifically prepared to cover a wide range of sounds and phonetic phenomena.

You have a maximum of one week from the moment I accept your request to record the audio file and send it to me. The same deadline applies to payment. This is because my schedule may change later, and I may not be able to conduct the analysis anymore. If you miss this deadline, I will assume that you are no longer interested and will not take any further action. In this case, you will have to submit the request again if you become interested later.

If possible, record your audio file in MP3 or MP4 format.

Your pronunciation will be evaluated on a scale from 1 to 10, with a rating of 1 indicating that your accent is 100% foreign or regional, and a rating of 10 indicating a pronunciation that is 100% standard German. However, it is important to note that even an average German speaker cannot achieve a rating of 10.

I suggest breaking down the rules into smaller components and gradually incorporating them into your speech. For instance, you could start with a single sound, try to include it in commonly used words, and observe how native speakers (who speak Standard German) pronounce that sound. It is also helpful to ask someone to correct you when they notice an accent. Even if they cannot pinpoint the issue, you may already know the answer because you have identified your weaknesses from the analysis. Additionally, I recommend occasionally recording your pronunciation to track your progress. If you have the time and opportunity in the future, feel free to reach out to me for online classes.

It depends on your current pronunciation level. If you have a slight accent and only need a few corrections, it is very likely that you can integrate these small changes into your everyday language over time. However, if extensive corrections are necessary, it is less likely that an analysis alone will be sufficient. In this case, I recommend taking classes.
